Always Thou Lovest Me I Sought the Lord, and afterward I knew He moved my soul to seek him, seeking me It was not I that found O savior true No I was found of thee I Find, I walk, I love, but O the whole of love is my answer; Lord To Me Come for thou were long beforehand with my soul; Always thou lovest me You did reach out your hand and mine enfold I walked, and sank not on the sea ‘Twas not so much that I on thee took hold As thou, dear Lord on me
2.
All praise to God who reigns above The God of all creation The God of wonders power and love The God of our salvation With healing balm my soul he fills The God who every sorrow stills To God all praise and Glory What God’s almighty power hath made His gracious mercy keepeth By morning dawn or evening shade His watchful eye n’er sleepeth Within the kingdom of his might Lo all is just and all is right To God all praise and glory I cried to him in time of need, Lord God oh hear my calling For death he gave me life indeed, And kept my feet from falling For this my thanks shall endless be, Oh thank him thank our God with me To God all praise and Glory Then come before his presence now, And banish fear and sadness To your redeemer pay your vow And sing with joy and gladness Through great distress my soul befell The Lord my God did all things well To God all praise and Glory

We plow the fields and scatter the good seed on the land, But it is fed and watered by God’s almighty hand; He sends the snow in winter, the warmth to swell the grain, The breezes and the sunshine and soft, refreshing rain. He only is the Maker of all things near and far; He paints the wayside flower, he lights the evening star; The winds and waves obey him, by him the birds are fed; Much more to us, his children, he gives our daily bread. All good gifts around us are sent from heaven above, So thank the Lord for all his love. We thank you then, O Father, for all things bright and good, The seed time and the harvest, our life, our health and food; No gifts have we to offer, for all your love imparts, But that which you desire: our humble, thankful hearts.

Jesus came, the heav’ns adoring, Came with peace from realms on high; Jesus came for man’s redemption, Lowly came on earth to die. Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Came in deep humility. Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Came in deep humility. Jesus comes again in mercy When our hearts are bowed with care; Jesus comes again in answer To an earnest, heartfelt prayer. Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Comes to save us from despair. Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Comes to save us from despair. Bridge: Jesus comes to hearts rejoicing With news of forgiven sin; Jesus comes in sounds of gladness, Laughter, joy and willow tears; The Lover of our hearts is here. Jesus comes in joy and sorrow, Shares alike our hopes and fears; Jesus comes, whate’er befalls us, Glads our hearts and dries our tears; Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Cheering e’en our failing years. Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Cheering e’en our failing years.

Jesus, my comfort, O may your will be mine; Into your hands of love I resign. Jesus, my great hope, All shall be well for me; What this day may bring, I trust with thee. Chorus: Jesus, my comfort, Jesus, my sweet rest, Jesus, my wellspring, You bring me life! Jesus, my sweet rest, Though often seen through tears, Let not my faith grow dim or disappear. Jesus, my Savior, In you alone I trust; All other lovers will lead me to loss. Jesus, my wellspring, You alone bring me life; Drinking from you I never will die. Jesus, my lover, Into your desert lead me; Hear me cry “Husband”—call me to sing.
6.
How vast the mercy and the love My heart can now proclaim; Dry bones to flesh and blood were brought, Now sing the Father’s name. How great the love That he would leave the throne. How great the love, The Word was made flesh and bone. How great the love, Came here to dwell and die, And now the Father lifts the Son up high. How vast the patience and the grace To chase us to the end; Out to a wretched, wicked man My God now condescends. Bridge: Wandering and lost, you sought us and found us, Wrap now you peace, like a mantle, around us. How deep the unseen holiness That calls me to his name; Breathes life into this heart of stone To glorify his name.

Not what my hands have done can save my guilty soul; Not what my flesh has borne can make me whole. Not what I feel or do can give me peace with God; Not all my prayers or tears can bear my load. I bless the Christ of God; I rest on love divine; And with lip and heart I call this Savior mine. Your voice alone, O Lord, can speak to me of grace; You alone, Son of God, can sin erase. No other work but Yours, no other blood will do; No strength but the divine can bear me through. Thy work alone, O Christ, can ease this weight of sin; Thy blood alone, O Lamb, gives peace within. Thy love to me, O God, not mine, O Lord, to Thee, Can rid this dark unrest, And set me free. I bless the Christ of God; I rest on love divine; And with lip and heart I call this Savior mine. I praise the God of grace; I trust His truth and might; He calls me His, My God, my joy my light.

Sun of my soul, my saviour dear! Naught ever night, when you are near What cloud could e’re obscure your light Bright endless day, no fear of night Sun of my soul, my saviour take This heart of stone, warm flesh to make If not for you, cold death my fate Jesus, my soul for you awaits halleluia...... Sun of my soul, my endless spring Make my heart bloom, my soul to sing Dark winter I, unless you save Breathe in your life, and light my way Jesus, my soul for you awaits halleluia......

Dear Lord, Call us to trust in you The Lord God, whose name is so great! Bury us in rock that can not move Root us as one that can not shake Surround, encompass, hem us in forever as you promised, Cut off all of our wickedness, redeem the land you gave Lead us out of temptation, and deliver us from evil Lord for your name, let your peace reign upon the ones you’ve saved Dear Lord, Do good to those who hope Who fear none but your mighty ways Who seek to stay upright in heart Walk straight and do not turn away How Would we live, if we turned aside? Crooked ways like shifting sands Our God will not abide Lead us up your mountain, and do not turn away Peace upon your people! Peace upon your way!

There are no half-measures here Christ calls for body and soul Crushed and remade in his way He will not stop till you’re whole There are no half-measures here Won’t stop at money or time Give up your glory for shame He calls and binds you come die He will raze your foundations, Plow up your fields Root up the mountains, And dry up the sea Nothing will stand as he makes everything new There are no half-measures here He will not stop for your dreams He set his face towards Jerusalem He will not rest till it’s complete There are no half-measures here His path leads straight into pain Why grasp what cannot be kept Lose all and Jesus gain.

None else but Thee, for evermore, One, AIl, we dread, believe, adore Great Earth and Heaven shall have their day And worn and old shall pass away, But Thou remainest, on Thy throne Eternal, changeless, and alone! None else we praise! in every form, In peace of calm and power of storm, In simple flower and mystic star, In all around and all afar, In Grandeur, Beauty, Truth, but Thee None else we hear, None else we see. None else we love! for sweeter grace That made anew a ruined race: The heirs of life, the lords of death, With earliest voice and latest breath, When days begin, when days are done, Bless we the Father for the Son! None else we trust! our flesh may fail, Our heart may sink when foes assail, But Thou art Strength to be our stay, And Glory not to pass away: None else in life and death have we, But we have all in all with Thee! Yea, None but Thee all worlds confess, And those redeemed ones numberless None else, from everlasting One, And evermore beside Thee none. Of all that is, has been, shall be, Father of Life, None else but Thee!

Freshened by the bread and wine, Pledges of our Saviour’s love; Now let hearts and voices join In songs of praise with those above. If they behold him face to face, While we a glimpse can only see; Yet equal debtors to his grace, As safe and as beloved are we. Do they sing, "Worthy is the Lamb?" Though we cannot reach their strains, Yet we, through grace, can sing the same, For us he died, and for us he reigns. They once had a suff'ring time, cares and fears, and griefs they knew; But they have conquered all through him, And we, ere long, shall conquer too. And they sing, "Worthy is the Lamb!" [O Lord now open up our lips!] Though we cannot reach their strains, [And our voice shout aloud thy praise!] Yet we, through grace, can sing the same, [Glory to Father Son and Flame] For us he died, and for us he reigns. Though all songs of saints in light, Are far beneath his matchless worth; His grace is such, he will not slight The poor attempts of us on earth. So we sing, "Worthy is the Lamb!" [O Lord now open up our lips!] Though we cannot reach their strains, [And our voice shout aloud thy praise!] Yet we, through grace, can sing the same, [Glory to Father Son and Flame] For us he died, and for us he reigns.

I am a poor wayfaring Stranger Looking for healing of my woe Looking for hands to take my sickness Hoping that I’ve somewhere to go I am a poor wayfaring stranger Pulled by stories of my fate Following some forgotten song that Speaks of home at heaven’s gate So I’m heading out to cross that river Jordan I’m heading out to go back home Jesus a place prepares, The spirit leads the Father’s there A poor wayfaring stranger never more I am a poor wayfaring stranger Trusting only in my king Traveling thru a land I can’t claim And Telling all of why I sing I am a poor wayfaring stranger And if you’d like that comfort too There is room along this road friend There is room when we go through We’re heading out to cross that River Jordan We’re heading out to head back home Jesus will spread the feast, The earth will sing with sweet release Now wayfaring strangers never more

Praise God who spoke and split dark Who came and swallowed up the void Called form of the chaos and Sung out the universe in joy From Sun that rules the daytime To Moon and stars now set in place All shout out, sing an anthem Bring your creator hymns of praise Praise God from whom all blessing flow From highest heights to those below Sing out now child and heavenly host Give God the Glory, Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost Sing out all His creation The seas, the mountains and the plains Sing out in all your splendor The Fire and hail and snow and rain Sing out all you his children Those he has called up from the grave The great creators servants All you whom Jesus came to save

about

One of my kids asked, hey Dad, where is your music online? I said oh some of it's here, some of it's there, a few other things are stuck on a hard drive somewhere...
So I thought i'd put a quick project together to gather some of it in one place. However it's a bit like sorting through the spare change in the sofa - trying to decide if what you're holding is a quarter or an old fuzzy bit of candy.
There are some things on here that were released, either from Green Lake Presbyterian days or on one of the Cardiphonia compilations (see cardiphonia.org/music/ for some amazing compilations!). Some of them are simply demos recorded at home that have never seen the light of day - but which sounded interesting enough (or I knew were known well in some circles) to release. There are some more old ones I'll probably dust off an re-record at some point - but there's actually a good bit of new music I'm working on now!
